Using the Art Calendar

To view alternate month's events, click on the name of the month on the top corners of the calendar. The calendar may only be changed one month at a time. To display more information about a certain event, just click on the title of the event. To get back to the main calendar, just use your browser's back button.
Logging In/Out
The calendar also has a feature to allow for Internal vs. External events, meaning events that may be viewed by only staff and faculty, or those that may be viewed by anyone. To access Internal events, click on "Login" from the main page. Once successfully logged in, the user is able to view both Internal and External events. To log off, simply click on "Logout" from the main page.
Administration
Depending on the level of authorization given by the user's login, the user may ADD, EDIT, or DELETE calendar events. If under an administrator login, the "Admin" link will be located on the top of the calendar. Once at the Calendar Administration page, the list of events for the month are listed by ID number. Each of these event can be Edited or Deleted. Additionally, new events may be added to the calendar.
Adding Events
To add events, from the Calendar Administration page, click on the "Add a New Event to the Calendar" link. Once at the Event Entry Form page, there are fields for the event's title, starting and ending dates, a password for security, and a description of the event. Additionally there is a checkbox to make the event viewable by the public, or only those with the proper login. When entering the password, please make note of it because it will be necessary for removal of the event, as well as any changes to it. Blank passwords are allowed, but are not recommended for security purposes. Once all fields are filled out, click on the "Post" button. There will be a confirmation listing the information for the event, and links to "View" the calendar, or further "Maintain" the calendar.
Deleting Events
To delete events, from the Calendar Administration page, click on "Delete" link by the event to be deleted. The browser will be directed to a confirmation page prompting the user for the password, and to confirm the delete action. If the proper password is entered and the "Yes" button is chosen, the a confirmation of the delete will be given, and links will be given to "View" or further "Maintain" the calendar.
Modifying Events
To modify events, from the Calendar Administration page, click on "Edit" link by the event to be deleted. The browser will be directed to a confirmation page prompting the user for the password, and to confirm the desire to modify the event. If the proper password is entered and the "Yes" button is chosen, the same form as in adding events will come up, with the current information for the event filled out.
